郭怡靜的創作實踐,是她靈性覺醒歷程的平行顯化。《i AM》呈現她七年來橫跨多個創作系列與方法論的藝術軌跡,不僅回顧藝術家身份建構的過程,更進一步展開對其的解構——正如蘇菲詩人魯米(Rumi)所說的「死於死亡之前」,或哲學家們所稱的「自我瓦解」(ego dissolution)。
《i AM》的多重創作脈絡——花卉排列、大自然景緻、植物觀察、海洋視角與星球意象,揭示了郭怡靜如何回應關於藝術家身份、創作真誠性,以及個人轉化與美學實踐之間關係的核心命題。
郭怡靜的早期作品,如《Confidence 自信》(2018)與《Vision 願景》(2018),是在實質與象徵層面上的黑暗中創作而成,象徵靈性覺醒前那段必經的下潛,直面潛意識材料的歷程。作品《Surrender 臣服》(2020)與《Strength 力量》(2023)所展現的內在收縮與自我縮小,呼應了靈性追尋者放下虛假身份的經驗。而她近期創作的大尺幅行星主題作品,如《Woven Blood 血織》(2025)與《Radiance 光耀》(2025),則體現她如何整合並化育這段歷程中所蘊含的智慧。
展覽名稱《i AM》(也刺青於郭怡靜的中指上),呼應靈性道路上的一項根本覺知,在所有角色、身份與社會結構之外的本質存在之認識。她每日的冥想、瑜伽與原始智慧傳承的實修,為她的創作奠定靜觀的基礎,使其作品與一脈以創作為神聖行動的靈性藝術家相呼應,例如 Karolina Fomičiova Bhadauria以及Matías De Stefano。
《i AM》開幕當日,郭怡靜將舉行一場單身婚禮(sologamy ceremony),歡迎所有人前來參與。觀眾受邀透過展覽見證她以創作為路徑的生命旅程。她坦誠分享整合歷程中的脆弱面,包括擁抱她所稱的「餓鬼」陰影面向,展現了她的勇氣與真正的靈性成長。
Tricia Kuo’s creative practice is a parallel manifestation of her spiritual awakening. i AM offers a seven-year trajectory of work spanning multiple collections and methodological approaches, presenting a meta-critique of artistic identity construction while simultaneously enacting its deconstruction—what the Sufi poet Rumi called "dying before death" and philosophers’ term "ego dissolution."
The multiple threads of i AM – flower arrangements, scenes from nature, botanical studies, ocean views, and planets – reveal the ways Kuo addressed fundamental assumptions about artistic identity, creative authenticity, and the relationship between personal transformation and aesthetic production.
Kuo’s early works, such as Confidence (2018) and Vision (2018) were painted in literal and metaphorical darkness, representing the necessary descent into unconscious material that precedes authentic awakening. The artist’s internal contraction and diminishment, as seen in Surrender (2020) and Strength (2023) mirror the spiritual seeker's experience of surrendering false identities, while her current practice of painting larger planetary works such as Woven Blood (2025) and Radiance (2025) are exemplary of how she embodies the integrated wisdom that emerges from this process.
The exhibition's title i AM (also tattooed on Kuo’s middle finger) references the fundamental spiritual recognition of essential being beyond roles, identities, and social constructions. Kuo's practice of daily meditation, yoga, and indigenous wisdom teachings creates a foundation for art-making as contemplative practice, positioning her work within a lineage of spiritual artists such as Karolina Fomičiova Bhadauria and Matías De Stefano who revere creativity as sacred activity.

Vintage frames restored to repair obvious blemishes but not perfect.
Each fit was a small destiny.
A new version of beauty was created mixing old and new.
True identity includes growing a whole mind,
learning to navigate feelings and making sense of thoughts,
all the while dynamically re- framing our reality as we grow in relationship with ourselves and others.
during my first exhibition, my work was fresh and new,
focused purely on the art itself without any added elements.
Since then, I have grown and evolved, experimenting with layering my paintings inside old, vintage frames. This creative choice connects my present work with history and memory, adding depth and texture to my expression. It’s a visual metaphor for how I’ve transformed, embracing both my roots and my future.
當我舉辦第一次展覽時,作品是純粹的新創作,沒有任何額外的元素。
從那時起,我不斷成長與蛻變,開始嘗試將畫作置入古老復古的畫框中。
這樣的創作手法,讓我的作品與歷史和記憶產生連結,為表達增添層次與質感。

I will host a sologamy wedding ceremony on the opening day of i AM and all are welcome to attend. Visitors to this exhibition are invited to track my journey through creative expression. my vulnerability in sharing the path of integration, including embracing the shadow aspects I call the "hungry ghost," demonstrates my courage and genuine spiritual growth.
這次展覽會在 2 Gather 藝起吧 舉辦,是我很喜歡的一個空間。它位在橫山書法藝術館附近,由林奎一董事長和他兒子林聖鈞一起打造。爸爸是建設公司老闆,同時超熱愛書法,於是他們把自家大樓的一樓改成藝文咖啡空間,
還特別規劃了二樓藝廊,不定期展出不同風格的藝術創作,讓青埔多了一個可以自在感受藝術的角落。
整體空間融合現代設計與傳統書法元素,氣氛安靜、有靈魂,就像城市裡的一座小型藝廊。
My exhibition will be held at 2Gather Art Café, a space I really love.
It’s located near the Hengshan Calligraphy Art Center and was founded by Mr. Lin,
a construction company owner with a deep love for calligraphy, and his son.
They transformed the ground floor of their own building into an artsy café, and even designed a second-floor gallery that regularly showcases diverse and unique art exhibitions.
The space blends modern design with traditional calligraphy touches—
it feels calm, soulful, and kind of like a hidden little gallery in the city.
